Public Works

If you clear or clean a vacant lot, your hired contractor is responsible for disposing of all debris. The City Public Works Department will only pick up debris from vacant lots that have active water accounts.

Roadside Debris must be in piles no larger than 3′ by 3′ and will be picked up by Pelican Waste on Mondays only. You may also call Pelican Waste: 228-323-0850.

We do NOT pickup the following items

• UNBAGGED LEAVES
• PAINT
• TIRES
• MOTOR OIL
• CAR BATTERIES
• CONTRACTOR / Construction
• Debris (contractors should haul off their own waste material)
