View Ordinance

* The short-term rental ordinance went into effect on November 3rd, 2023.  Please consult with the city planner to obtain a new short term rental license to discuss requirements and any availability.

* Annual short term rental fees are $400 and accompany a $20 privilege/business license.  Both are valid from September to September each year the property is being used as a short-term rental property.

* The City of Pass Christian has adopted the 2024 International Residential Code (IRC) and International Building Codes (IBC), along with other applicable codes.

*Please check with staff for the type of building permit you may need.

*Inspections may be called in the day before and no same day or weekend inspections.  No work typcially can occur on weekends, check with staff for exceptions.

*Refer to the Online Forms link at the top of the webpage, and you can locate the application you are looking for.  Download, fill out and bring into the Code Office at City Hall and staff can assist you!

*If you clear or clean a vacant lot, your hired contractor is responsible for disposing of all debris.  Household roadside bulk debris must be in piles no larger than 3’x3′ and will be placed up by Pelican Waste on Mondays.

* Planning Commission meetings are generally held the last Tuesday of every month at 4pm in the City Hall courtroom.

* Park Committee meetings are generally held the 2nd Tuesday of every month in the City Hall courtroom at 4:30pm.

* Historic Preservation Commission meetings are held generally the 2nd Wednesday of every month in the City Hall courtroom at 6pm.

* Tree Board meetings are generally held on the third Thursday of every month at 10am in the City Hall courtroom.

*If you have a code enforcement related concern, please call our office or come in and fill out a complaint.  Staff will address the complaint as quickly as possible.  Please see the Quick Links section or Forms and Applications for a complaint form.

*Board of Aldermen meetings are generally held the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6 P.M. in the courtroom of the City Hall complex.

*The Park Committee meetings are generally held the second Tuesday of each month at 4:30 P.M. in the courtroom of the City Hall complex.

*Historic Preservation meetings are generally held the second Wednesday of each month at 6 P.M in the courtroom of the City Hall complex.

*Tree Board meetings are generally held the third Thursday of each month at 10 A.M. in the courtroom of the City Hall complex.

All meetings are open to the public, and the public is invited to attend.
