* The short-term rental ordinance went into effect on November 3rd, 2023. Please consult with the city planner to obtain a new short term rental license to discuss requirements and any availability.
* Annual short term rental fees are $400 and accompany a $20 privilege/business license. Both are valid from September 30 to September 30 each year the property is being used as a short-term rental property. Late fees are applied when delinquent or short-term rental privilege revoked if permit is not maintained as active.
* As per City ordinance, only 5 food trucks vendors are allowed in City limits. Please see the planning staff to determine availability and requirements. Permits and privilege/business licenses are valid September 30 to September 30.
* The City of Pass Christian has adopted the 2024 International Residential Code (IRC) and International Building Codes (IBC), along with other applicable codes. Refer to http://www.iccsafe.org for applicable codes.
*Please check with staff for the type of building permit you may need.
*Inspections may be called in the day before and no same day or weekend inspections. No work typically can occur on weekends, check with staff for exceptions.

*If you clear or clean a vacant lot, your hired contractor is responsible for disposing of all debris. Household roadside bulk debris must be in piles no larger than 3’x3′ and will be placed up by Pelican Waste on Mondays.

*Tree Board meetings are generally held the third Thursday of each month at 10 A.M. in the courtroom of the City Hall complex. All applications must be turned into the Code office and work with the City Arborist to determine if a meeting appearance is needed and applications need to be received 14-21 business days prior to the meeting for consideration to be placed on the Tree Board agenda.
