The Board meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 6:00 PM at the City Court Building.
The City of Pass Christian operates under a Mayor–Board of Aldermen form of government. The Mayor serves as the city’s chief executive officer, responsible for daily operations, overseeing city departments, and carrying out the policies set by the Board. The Board of Aldermen, made up of five members—one at-large and one representing each of the city’s four wards—functions as the legislative body of the city.
Together, the Mayor and Board of Aldermen set the city’s budget, adopt ordinances, approve contracts, and make decisions that directly impact local services such as police and fire protection, public works, zoning, recreation, and infrastructure improvements. They also act as the direct voice of the community, fielding concerns from residents and turning those concerns into action through city policy and resource allocation.
This structure ensures that every citizen has both ward-level representation and citywide representation, providing balance and accountability in decision-making. The Mayor and Board work to keep Pass Christian safe, well-maintained, and moving forward by prioritizing projects that improve quality of life, encourage economic development, and preserve the community’s unique character.
The current term of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen began on July 1, 2025, and will continue through June 30, 2029.
